Change NHS consultation

Our initial submission to the Change NHS consultation explains the changes we would like to see.

As well as the asks from our policy papers on the Five Giants, we have added a 10 year workplan showing estimated costs and savings. The pleasant surprise is that this only costs £11bn extra in Year 1, less than the £25.7bn already set aside to help the NHS this year. Year 2 on our plan costs less that £1bn, and Year 3 onwards shows a net saving. This shows if a broader approach is taken, which encompasses all the Five Giants, we could improve outcomes and save money.
